This document describes the ownership and administration of Filecoin Slack, a “common good” leveraged by the Filecoin community to meet most of its chat needs. Filecoin Slack administration is shared across various entity lines. This document captures the current state, justification for certain decisions, standard operating procedures, etc. User focused documentation is in Filecoin Slack User Guide.

A Slack workspace has a single Primary Owner. Only this account can delete the workspace or transfer ownership to someone else. This account should NOT BE USED unless absolutely necessary.

Workspace Owners have the same level of permissions as the Primary Owner, except they can’t delete or transfer ownership of a workspace. Only Workspace Owners can add owners and demote admins.
