MERidian stands for Measure, Evaluate, Reward, the three steps of the Impact Evaluator Framework. Build specs and general reusable infrastructure for impact evaluation, to be used by Saturn, Station and more.
Multiple teams are facing the same challenge of implementing Impact Evaluator infrastructure, in order to implement decentralized rewards for work done. Think Saturn CDN cache jobs, SPARK retrieval checks and Bacalhau computation performed.
It therefore is logical to collaborate on the design, treating aforementioned teams as customers that help evaluate it.
Once a set of building blocks and interfaces has been identified, these teams can even go ahead and prototype Impact Evaluators using Web2 (trustful) infrastructure, should they wish to go to market sooner. Using those interfaces will make it possible to replace those crutches with Web3 technology (trustless, smart contracts etc) in the near future.
