This is a synced database view of open issues with GitHub. The value of this:

1. State stays accurate to what happens in github
2. Allows adding extra metadata on issues and seeing it in a table/filterable/sortable view

That said, it we didn’t see an inherent advantage doing this in Notion rather than in a github project board since we can add arbitrary metadata there as well.
