The IPFS Discord server is public. The https://discord.gg/ipfs vanity URL can be used to access.
Post in #server-meta channel. If it’s about spam/scams, use #report-scammers.
Default roles don’t provide channel creation permissions. This is because the permission is very coarse. In addition to creating channels, one can reorder or delete channels which are global for everyone.
If you need a channel created, make a request in the #server-meta channel.
Sample request:
Channel creation request Name: my-channel-name Category: channel category (could be existing or new) Purpose/description: this channel is needed for...
Add a note to the channel stating that it will be archived and why. Pin the message.
Make the archive request in #server-meta.

Archive channel request Name: my-channel-name Reason: this channel is no longer needed because...
