📍  Mission and Scope

To specify, develop, and deliver the Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) roadmap. The FVM introduces EVM-compatible on-chain user programmability to the Filecoin Network.

🚧  Current Projects

1. Launching FVM Lotus Canary Nodes ✅
   • Goal: to validate the fundamental FVM technology, capture data to feed into the gas refactor, and adapt actors for WASM.
   • Lead: stebalien/raulk
2. Filecoin Improvement Proposals for M1 ✅
   1. Goal: to incorporate the FVM and associated changes into the Filecoin protocol and get community consensus for the upcoming M1 network upgrade
   2. Lead: raulk
3. Gas model rearchitecture ✅
   1. Goal: to alter the Filecoin gas model to account for actual execution costs, in preparation for user-programmability
   2. Lead: stebalien/raulk (magik)
4. Road to M1 rollout 🔁
   1. Goal: to gain confidence in the M1 upgrade through testnets, benchmarks, audits, and other QA instruments
   2. Lead: raulk
